Obituary

Gus Mannino passed peacefully away at home (Brookdale Island Lakes, Longwood, FL) on December 13, 2016. Born in New York City on April 2, 1924. Gus is survived by his children Anthony (Kathleen), Denise (Christopher), Michael (Ann) four grandsons, Ryan, Michael, Anthony and Kenneth and two great grandsons, Michael Vincent and Titan. Gus was preceded in death by his wife, Grace. Before moving to Central Florida in 2009, Gus and Grace lived in Vero Beach, FL for 27 years. Gus was passionate about golf-he not only worked on a golf course after retiring from the insurance industry but played the game well. He also volunteered much of his time over the years. In honor of his contribution as a volunteer, the Indian River Golf Foundation presents an award every year to an individual who, like Gus, is considered an outstanding volunteer - this award is appropriately named the "Gus Mannino Award".
