Known to many as The Amazing Greg Powell (or AGP, for short), Greg was born in Concord, NC on December 18, 1959. He was a 1977 graduate of Gibbs High School. An almost life-long resident of St. Petersburg, FL, he was currently living in Denver, CO working for The Honey Smoked Fish Company. He was very proud of his newest journey there in Denver, although often homesick for his beloved Florida and family and many friends.
Greg was a happy man that was always smiling and kept a positive outlook in the most trying of times. He loved The Florida Gators, golfing, fishing and doing anything outdoors. He was often bragging about being an athlete, as physical activity was such a big part of his life. He loved the water and used a lot of his free time at the beach. He was a good cook and enjoyed showing his love by sharing his kitchen creations, particularly with seafood. His presence will be deeply missed by his friends, large extended family and those who met him on his journey here on earth, as he made friends with all he met.
A memorial service to celebrate his life has been scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at R. Lee Williams & Son Funeral Home. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 3530 - 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710.
