Greg Efta, of Longwood FL, age 54, husband, father, brother, teacher, trusted friend, child of God, was born in Wagner, S.D. on October 31, 1962. As a child, he lived in several midwestern states, graduating high school from Alma, NE in 1981. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and Kearney State College, graduating from Kearney with a Bachelor's Degree in Comprehensive Speech Communications in 1987. Greg was united in marriage on July 7th, 1990 to Heidi L. Porter of Orleans, NE. They made their home in Omaha, NE until they moved to Longwood, FL in 1997. Three daughters were born to this union. Greg was a motivational speaker and consultant for 30 years.

Survivors include, wife, Heidi L. Efta; daughters, Margaret M. Efta of Orlando FL, Mackenzie L. Efta of Orlando FL and Melinda J. Efta of Longwood FL; brother, Thomas Jr. (Audrey) Efta of Hastings NE; sisters, Lori (Darwin) Johnson of Emerson IA and Rebecca Efta of Essex IA; Nieces, Amber (Efta) Bell and Sarah Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Vivian (St. Pierre) Efta.

Services are Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at 2:00pm at Wekiva Presbyterian Church in Longwood. Internment is at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka.
