Grace Keeling Davis of Lake Mary, Florida, passed away on October 29, 2015 at 90 years old. The Memorial Service will be held on November 7, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Brookdale Assisted Living, 150 Middle St., Lake Mary, FL with Reverend Robert "Bill" Welker officiating; DeGusipe Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
Grace was born on January 28, 1925 in Crookston, MN and was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson R. Davis, her parents, Samuel R. Keeling and Minnie B. Keeling as well as her brothers, Harold R. Keeling, Wilbur Keeling and her sisters, Gladys K. VanNess and Joyce K. Nicholson; and her grandson, Scott Jefferson Davis. Grace is survived by her sons, Michael R. Davis of Lake Mary, FL, Gary S. Davis of Tampa, FL and daughters, Donna D. Lake of Lake Mary, FL and Kathy D. Baker of Midway, TN. as well as her granddaughters, Sherry B. Denton and Holli D. Baeza and three, great-grandchildren, Haley Denton, Kierstin Denton and Jett Baeza and many nieces and nephews.
After attending Seminole High School, Sanford, FL, Grace went on to study hair styling and cosmetology at Daytona Cosmetology School Daytona Beach, FL where she met her future husband, Jefferson Davis, to whom she was happily married until his death in 1986. Grace enjoyed her career of hair styling for over forty years until retiring to help care for her grandchildren and enjoy her hobbies of sewing, knitting, crochet, crafting, painting and reading.
Grace was a member of the Sanford Women's Club, the Sanford Boat & Ski Club and the Sanford Sewing Circle, a club formed by her friends and neighbors who had a mutual love of sewing.
