Gordon Shaw, of Sanford, FL, passed peacefully after a long illness on July 3, 2015. Mr. Shaw, born in Buffalo, NY, graduated from the University of Buffalo, was a career banker and civic leader who participated as a Rotarian; Civitan; Executive Leader of the Lions Club; a Trustee of the Buffalo, Pompano Beach and Miami Chambers of Commerce in Economic Redevelopment/Development Chairmanships; President of the Nat'l Assoc. of Accountants; Treasurer of the Coral Springs Country Club and a member of the Heathrow Country Club. Mr. Shaw relocated from Buffalo, NY to Coral Springs, FL in 1981. He was the beloved husband for 38 years of Kristine B. Shaw, who passed away on June 1, 2015. He is survived by his 6 children, MichaelAnne Elliott (Ben) of Orlando, Kristen Verkon of Sanford, Kreagh Verkon of Sanford, Jennifer Allen (Mike) of Davie, FL, Jeffrey Verkon (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, FL and Aaron Shaw (Safina) of Portland, OR and 8 grandchildren, Devin, Alex & Braden Elliott, Kaylie Verkon, Madison & Colin Allen and Dalton & Delaney Maxwell. Mr. Shaw's last wishes included a toast to all family, friends and acquaintances "...A toast to the living and drink for the Dead".
