FORBES, GORDON MOORE, 74, passed away June 14, in Clermont. He is pre-deceased by his mother, Lilian Moore Doland of Clermont, and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth (Betty Lou) Forbes; their two sons, Christopher James Forbes (Jennifer), and Jeffrey Carlisle Forbes (Leslie); and three grandchildren, Sam, Jacob and Finnegan.

Gordon graduated from Clermont High School in 1961, and was a founding graduate of Florida Technological University which is now UCF, in 1972. He owned and operated three businesses in Southwest Orange County: Acclaim Hair, About Hair, and Salon On The Green. He was a Board Member of the Edgewood Children's Ranch and the Orange County Regional History Center.

He was a longtime member of Bay Hill Country Club, St. Luke's United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Orlando Board of Realtors.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 25th at 2:00 PM, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 4851 South Apopka-Vineland Road, in Windermere, FL.

Donations may be made to the Edgewood Children's Ranch or the Orange County Regional History Center in his name.
