Gloria Jeanne Zahand, age 69, went to be with the Lord after on Saturday morning, October 31, 2015 at the home of her daughter, Aubrey Ehrhart. She was an "Angel on Earth"…always helping someone in need. For over 25 years, Gloria dedicated her life to the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. Her love for God and her family was a priority in her life.
She was born in Bedford, Ohio, the youngest of 3 children, to Philip and Gladys Zahand. After graduating from Bedford High School, Gloria received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Welfare at Ohio State University, followed by a Bachelor's Degree at Kent State University in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Counseling and Higher Education at Kent State University.
Gloria is survived by her daughters, Aubrey Ehrhart and Carey Elias; a sister, Phyllis Dale; a brother, James Zahand; nephews, Brannon and Adam Zahand; grandchildren, Eli and Ronin Ehrhart, Christopher Elias. Gloria will be forever loved by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the DeGusipe Funeral Home – Maitland Chapel, 9001 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, Florida.
