Gloria A. Sweet-Palmer 87 of St. Petersburg passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015. She was born in Waterloo, Iowa and lived here for many years. Mrs. Sweet-Palmer is survived by her loving children: Susan J. Sweet-Phillips, Sandra Elizabeth Sweet-Winchenbach, and Steven Charles Sweet; she is the loving grandmother of nine, great grandmother of ten. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 plus years, Charles Andrew Sweet. She was a member of the Pasadena Community Church where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years, Past President of the Opera Guild, 1st President of the St. Pete Beach Lions Auxiliary she was PEO of Chapter CV, she was Queen of Hearts for the Heart Association, Past President of the Mt Vernon PTA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, March 27, from 5-7 P.M. A Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Pasadena Community Church 227-70th St. No. , St. Petersburg at l P.M. Interment will follow at Royal Palm Cemetery South. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart Association.
