Gloria Louise Fues Dixon, 62, of South Daytona, FL, passed away on January 5th due to complications from a stroke. Gloria was born on March 6th, 1955 to Emily L. and Harold Fues in Freeport, Illinois. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Koven and son-in-law, Daniel Koven and 2 granddaughters Taylor and Rebekah. Gloria was one of five siblings including Hal Fues (Denise), Jayne Vance (Charlie), Kathy Drone (Randy) and Jay Fues (Meggan). She had several nieces and nephews as well as a large extended family and countless friends. Gloria was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who had a sarcastic and funny personality. She was very artistic and loved painting and sewing. Her creativity really showed through with her Dixon Darlin' Designs creations. She created soft sculptured dolls and even had something she called Pickled People, which were soft sculptured dolls stuffed in mason jars. She also created clay figurines called Claymates, which were sold at Arts and Crafts shows all over the United States. Gloria opened a flower shop, Enchanted Gardens in Deltona, where her artistic greatness thrived, and people would come from near and far just to have a floral design that was 'fairy dusted'. Lately, Gloria spent her free time creating art out of the most peculiar things, most recently creating Christmas ornaments out of toilet paper and paper towel rolls. When not being creative, she loved playing brain games on her tablet, watching Netflix, or playing with the family dogs, Lucy and Toby. She will be greatly missed by everyone. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
