Gloria "Yoya" Bonet-Carrero, age 79, passed away on June 14, 2017, at Life Care Center in Altamonte Springs, FL. Gloria was born in Rincon, Puerto Rico on October 1, 1937 to Genaro and Bienvenida Bonet.
While living in Puerto Rico, Gloria was an active member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Bayamon serving as a cantor, reader and ministering to the sick. Her beautiful path through life never left behind any family, neighbor, or friend that needed a helping hand. She dedicated her life to raising her children with courage and determination, even after she lost her eyesight, giving us examples of a great warrior and servant. Don't want to forget about your beautiful smile, your abilities at playing domino, your Christmas "Pasteles", and your stern but loving educational scolding.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand Rivera and her daughter Ivette. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Brunilda Jerez (Roger M.) her sons Roger A. and Martin, Aracelia Kastle (Robert) her son Joshua, Ferdinand Rivera (Delia) his daughters Yanise and Yartiza, Joseph Albert and his children Josiemar, Lizamar, Omar, Adianette and Joseph, Olga Iris Adorno (Carlos) her daughters Tathiana and Thalia, Jeannette Gillespie (James) her children Stephanie, Brian and Kimberly, Denise Rivera (Jose Luis) and her children Luis and Joise, Piedad Maisonet and all her great grandchildren.
