Gladys J Lownsbery of Fredericktown passed away peacefully in her home August 1, 2021, at age 90. She was an avid homemaker and enjoyed her family, sewing, gardening and crafts. She enjoyed reading and was a member of the Fredericktown Library Book Buddies.

Gladys was the daughter of the late Ira and Ruth Newcomer and was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Col. Norton Lownsbery and brothers Lester Newcomer and Paul Eugene Newcomer. She is survived by her daughter Susan Lownsbery of Fredericktown, PA. Also surviving are a niece Lisa (John) Mulhall of Boca Raton, FL and Larry (Patti) Newcomer of Fort Myers, FL and David Newcomer of Macon, GA as well as several great nieces and nephews.

As per Gladys' wishes, service and interment are private. A memorial luncheon will be held, at a later date.
