Obituary

Gina Talley passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 16, 2018. She was 62.

Gina was born in San Diego, California, on May 23, 1955. Her family spent a brief period of time in Wyoming and Massachusetts before settling in Central Florida, where she attended Oak Ridge High School, and graduated from Florida Tech (now UCF). During this time, she began a successful career at Walt Disney World that spanned 27 years, from September of 1973 to April of 2000. Gina started as a Tour Guide and led many prominent politicians and dignitaries through the Magic Kingdom; she also performed with the "Kids of the Kingdom", a song and dance group that held shows each day in front of Cinderella's Castle. She later moved into a corporate role at Vista United, where she installed some of the first phone lines in Epcot Center and worked in the field of telecommunications. Gina always had such a fondness for her time spent at Disney, and of the lifelong friendships she developed there. She retired in 2000 to be a stay-at-home mom to her three children and to focus on her growing passion of nutrition and health counseling. Gina had such a love for life and shared that in so many ways with her family and friends. She loved tennis, playing as often as she could. A highlight was when she was able to attend the Rolland-Garros French Open in Paris in 2015. She also loved to travel, going on many adventures in Central and South America, and in Europe. She loved volunteering and often devoted her time to local organizations such as the Women's Executive Council, and J4 Leaders. Above all, she was known for her unwavering faith in Jesus. She loved her church family at Crosspointe Downtown and attending Bible studies, as well as hosting Community Groups at her home. She also participated in Global Media Outreach, an online missionary team where she impacted many lives by spreading the words of Christ's love. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she loved sharing it with others.

Gina is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, David Talley; her children John Talley, Robin Talley, and Julia Incinelli; and her sisters Laura Stewart, and Shaun Tolley.
