Gilbert G. Rapoza 76, of Davenport, FL formally of New Bedford, MA entered into eternal rest April 14, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Son of the late Hilda and Ernest Soares Sr. Born in Fairhaven, MA. Husband of Anne M. Rapoza and the late Irene Rapoza.

Gilbert worked for Don Adams Oil Co. where he retired from and was also an auxiliary police officer for the city of New Bedford. Gilbert was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed antique cars, Seekonk Speedway, the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, and watching his son Rodney bowl on Sunday Nights.

Gilbert leaves behind his three sons: Wayne & Gloria Rapoza of Port St. Lucie FL, Rodney & Laurie Rapoza of New Bedford MA, and Paul Rapoza of Fall River, MA. Stepfather of Timothy & Brittney Lima, and Christopher Lima all of Davenport, FL. Gilbert also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
