German Figueroa Acevedo

German departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Health Central at the age of 74. He was born October 11, 1939, in Camuy, Puerto Rico, the son of Guillermo Figueroa and Gertrudes Acevedo.

German was united in marriage to Maria Consuelo Deida on January 10, 1961. He worked most of his life as a landscaper laborer, and a custodian. He was also a member of Iglesia Forest City. German was loved by all who knew him. He took special joy in all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. German loved to share a joke, a game of dominoes, and being with friends and family.

German is survived by his wife: Maria; children: Gladys, Jose, Maritza, German, Carmen, Luis, and Ricardo; his grandchildren: Venus, Oscar, Martha, Luis, Deanna, Isaac, Yajaira, Melissa, Abigail, Jovan, Sergio, Jessica, Gabriel, Justin, and Yesenia; and 22 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters: Sofia, and Inez; brothers: William, Sixto, Arsenio, and Jose; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
