Germaine (Gerri) Zita Morrison age 83, of Maitland, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 1st, 2019, at her home on Wood Lake. She was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, to Rene and Margaritha (Greta) Clerget on June 26th, 1935. She crossed the ocean by ship, at the age of five years old, to come to her new country and home. Gerri married Ralph William (Bill) Morrison in 1961. Prior to dedicating her life to her family, Gerri was a secretary for Dupont and then an ad agency before taking her career to an exotic location and working directly for Henry J. Kaiser of Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu. She was joined in Hawaii by her husband who also worked for Mr. Kaiser, helping him with the development of Hawaii Kai.

She is survived by and will live forever in the hearts and souls of her husband (Ralph William Morrison), three children (Michelle Margaritha, Michael Rene and Mark William Morrison) and eight grandchildren: Constance, Helena, Lilli, Eva, Kieren, Miles, Fiona and Leo.

Gerri lived an active life, her whole life. Gardening was her joy and nearly every day would find her out tending to her plants and yard. And, throughout her life, she could also be found tending to her community. She worked at Lake Orienta Elementary School for 10 years, was active at her church, First Presbyterian Church of Maitland, and she volunteered at: Ronald McDonald House, the Maitland Public Library, the Orlando Science Center and for Walk n' Roll as well.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Maitland Presbyterian Church 341 North Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751.
