Geraldine "Geri" (Lacotta) Roland, 76, of West Brownsville (Blainesburg), PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela, PA.

Geri was born on October 4, 1947, the daughter of Lawrence J. and Velma (Tatrai) Lacotta.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Roland of Greensburg, PA.

Geri graduated from CAHS, in California, PA, Class of 1965. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in teaching in 1969 from California State Teachers College, California, PA. She taught at Norwin Jr/ Sr. High School for 10 years and then taught GED classes before retiring.

Geri is survived by her sister, Bertha Ballon of Brownsville, PA, brother, Joseph Lacotta and wife Janice of Tuscan, AZ, two nephews, Steven Lacotta and wife Amy of Dallastown, PA and Jonathan Walker and wife Julie of Monroeville, PA, two great nephews, Riley and Benjamin Walker, several cousins and her furry friend, Lucy.

Arrangements are under the direction of the DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, 65 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA, Stacey A. Dolfi, FD. Interment is private.
