Gerald Alan Adams of Longwood, Florida was born September 24th 1944 to parents Irma and Jim and was raised with his brother David and sister Jan in Detroit, Michigan.

His passions throughout high school and college included wrestling and competitive swimming. Jerry flew Skycranes and Huey helicopters for the Army during two tours in the Vietnam War.

He met the love of his life and adoring wife of 53 years, Barbara, at church. They were married October 7th 1967.

Jerry was a fantastic father to his 2 sons Mark Alan and Scott Gerald, 2 daughters-in-law and all 5 of his grandchildren.

Throughout his entire life he made God and family his priority. He was one of the founding elders of Wekiva Assembly of God, taught Sunday school, headed many Bible studies, volunteered working with the homeless and was a man of exemplary character. He knew no enemies and would bend over backwards for his anyone in need. Jerry had a heart of gold.
