George Benjamin Walker, age 87, of Clermont, Florida, entered into the joy of his Lord on Thursday, June 14, 2018. He spent his last days lovingly cared for by his children and grandchildren assisted by Compassionate Care Hospice.
He was born November 19, 1930, the son of Samuel and Caroline Walker of Norristown, Pennsylvania.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Katherine, children Kathy Walker, Samuel (Cindy) Walker, Debbe (Rick) Crawford and Mary Beth Walker; his sister, Edith Jean Shellenberger of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He graduated from Norristown High School in 1948, served in the Army at Fort Benning, Georgia during the Korean War, and retired in 1984 after 35 years with AT&T.
He was ordained as an elder at Orlando Free Presbyterian Church, where he attended for the past 29 years and where he continued to faithfully serve his Lord. When entering Heaven and meeting his Savior, we are sure he heard: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at DeGusipe Funeral Home located at 1400 Matthew Paris Blvd. (Clarke Road) in Ocoee, FL. 34761. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha, FL.
