Obituary

George Robert Crimmings, Sr., age 94, passed away peacefully at his home December 6, 2023, after a courageous ten-month battle with bladder cancer.

George was born October 22, 1929 in Medway, Massachusetts to Edwin Barnabas Crimmings and Mary Louise Morse Crimmings. He was the youngest of the eight children. Upon graduation from Medway High School, he served in the Armed Forces ultimately bringing him to Orlando, Florida. After Honorable Discharge, he settled in Orlando where he met his beloved wife of 72 years, Evelyn Frances Fuller. He was a contractor in the utilities industry for many years. In 1987, he fulfilled his longtime dream of starting his own utilities contracting business.

George was a devoted husband and father who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed family gatherings, helping his children with various projects in their homes and was always eager to lend a helping hand to a neighbor. He was the consummate family man with a heart of gold and beloved by everyone. A devoted husband to his loving wife, Evelyn, his life revolved around his children whom he cherished, George Robert, Jr. (preceded in death and his wife Sharon), Craig (and his wife Virginia), Lisa Crimmings Moorhead (and her husband Brian Moorhead, preceded in death). In addition to his wife and children, George is also survived by his granddaughters, Jennifer Slauter (Brandon) and Nicole Euler (Clinton), four great-grandsons, nieces and nephews as well as many friends. We would like to thank the at-home caregivers for their devotion and assistance in the care for George.

Many thought he was invincible. Always healthy, always energetic, always happy and positive with a twinkle in his eyes. He was a wonderful husband and father, a strong and kind man who adored his family beyond measure. George was deeply loved and was truly blessed with a long good life. He will be greatly missed.
