Obituary

Gardner N Brown, resident of Homosassa Springs FL, passed away in his sleep while at Atria at Lake Forrest on February 8, 2015. He was born in New Bedford Massachusetts on September 3, 1923. Gardner graduated from Edgartown High School and served in the Navy as a bombardier during WWII. He retired from Eastern Airlines after 30 years of service as an airline captain.

Gardner enjoyed reading, playing golf, and driving his motor home around North America. He was married to Arlene Blanche Brown in 1944. They were together for 62 years until Arlene passed away in 2006. He is survived by his daughters Marsha Brown and Michele Burns (husband Edward). Gardner was the grandfather of 9; Jeannette Brown, Stanley Strelecki, Debbie Bourgault, Kathy Cranston, Derek Burns, Keith Strelecki, Loren Burns, Stacy Strelecki, Katie Burns, 17 great grand children, and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William Harry and Gertrude Brown, as well as his brothers Harry, Donald, Stanley, Douglas, and his son Michael.

A private celebration of life will be held with interment at his childhood hometown Edgartown, Massachusetts in the spring of 2015.
