Gail Ann Lundin, 69, of Maitland, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 5,2016, after a brief bout with late stage uterine cancer. She was born December 3,1946 in Washington, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest and only daughter to Carl and Mildred Weiblen. Gail is survived by her husband Gerald E. Lundin, her four children Carrie Lundin, Michael Lundin, David Lundin, Kaycee Lundin, her granddaughter Kyla Bourgeois, her brother Jeffrey Weiblen, her niece Heather Weiblen, and her nephew Peter Weiblen.
>Gail graduated from Homewood Flossmoor High School in 1964, and completed the Respiratory Therapy Technician program at Seminole Community College in 1987. She met her husband Gerald E. Lundin in September 1964 at the University of Illinois, and married in September 1965. They moved to Orlando in August 1966, and have lived in the same Maitland home since 1969 where they raised their four children.
>Gail was passionate about helping others any way she could. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Winter Park Hospital. She managed to donate over 14 gallons of blood to the Central Florida Blood Bank. She would volunteer her time at the local elementary school events, and she donated numerous handmade designs to them for various plays/performances over the years. She was a master do-it-yourselfer creating countless handcrafted items throughout her life. There was nothing she couldn't make from over the top birthday cakes to costumes that rivaled ones you would buy from a store.
> Gail was one of the most selfless, and loving people to ever walk this earth. She was extremely funny, creative, intelligent, and friendly. She was a hard worker, and she never complained about anything. She was an amazing listener, and showed compassion for everyone no matter the situation. She was a dedicated wife, and an amazing mother and grandmother. She loved babies, children, elephants, dogs, sewing, crafting, cooking, baking, shopping, fireworks, and basically everything Christmas. She was the type of person you fell in love with as soon as you met her. Being able to have had her be a part of your life is something that all who knew her truly treasure. Even though she is no longer here with us in the physical form she will live on in our hearts forever.
