G. Allen Playford, 71, passed away on March 22, 2021 at home of natural causes. Allen was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on August 25, 1949, to Garth B. and Joyce S. Playford.

He attended Boca Ciega High, St. Petersburg Junior College(now St. Petersburg College),and graduated from the University of South Florida(Tampa) with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
With his Accounting degree, he worked in banking, private accounting, and industry and private businesses.

In his early years, he enjoyed participating in tennis, baseball, and golfing. Later, he enjoyed watching and talking about those sports.

Allen is preceded by his father Garth B. Playford. He is survived by his mother Joyce S. Playford, his son Matthew A. Playford (Laura), two grandsons Luke and Jacob, sister Cathy Beatty, nephew Tim Beatty, niece Julie Beatty, his brother Rick Playford, and his loving dog Zak.

The family will have private gathering to share and celebrate Allen's life.
