Fred W. Kingsley, husband of the late wife Elizabeth "Betty" Jane
Kingsley (1935-1985) and survived by wife Patricia Kingsley, passed away
peacefully on March 8, 2023. Fred was born on October 8, 1935, to
Francis and John Kingsley in West Mifflin, PA. He was one of four
children and only survived by his brother Richard.
Fred and Betty were married on June 1, 1958 in Bethe Park, PA. They
lived in Bethel Park, PA and were parishioners of St. Valentine Catholic
Church (now part of Lady of Hope Parish). They had four children
Frederick (1958-2022), Kathleen, James, and Thomas.
Fred later married Patricia Kidwell-Kingsley in 1990 where they resided
in Apopka Florida. Pat has two daughters Dee and Pamela.
Fred served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he drove a
tank. His career revolved around Military, Government, and Aerospace in
various capacities. Fred was proud to be part of aerospace programs in
that included the Space Shuttle Atlantis and Delta 181 rockets amongst
others. His most proud career moment is when he was presented a
Certificate of Recognition by the Secretary of Defense for promoting
peace and stability for the United States. This is during the period
when the cold war ended.
