Franklin C. "Frank" Garner died peacefully on February 27, 2018 in in Orlando, FL at the age of 83.
Frank is survived by his wife Joyce Siegfried Westervelt Garner, daughters Marie A. (Jim) Linden and Nancy J. Parker of Canby, CA, Step-daughters Debra M.(John) Cotner and Carol J.(Carl) Rauer of Fernandina Beach, FL, eight Grandchildren, thirteen Great-grandchildren and his faithful companion, Joey. He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Ida Garner, former wife Martha Lucille Garner and a granddaughter, Traci Nicole Davis.
Frank was born on July 18, 1934 in Denver, CO. He graduated from Asbury College with a degree in psychology and from Drew Seminary in 1951. He married his singing partner Joyce Siegfried Garner July 13, 1969. In Williamsport, PA. Frank worked for Grit Newspaper for many years. After moving to Florida, he worked as an editor for Florida Grower & Rancher Magazine in Winter Park and also at the Orlando Convention Center.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7 at 11:00am at Lake Kathryn Clubhouse, 993 Mango Drive, Casselberry with a reception and potluck to follow.
Rev. Chris Kirwan and Tom Swartz will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Frank's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Humane Society of U.S. - humanesociety.org.
