Franklin Edward Baker, 91 yrs, was born in Chicago, IL July 20, 1924 to Charles T. and Ella (Staabs) Baker, an only child. He joined them and his wife Anne on the other side November 29, 2015.

He served in WWII, a proud member of the 913th Engineers and flew on B17's as a radio operator. He met his wife, Anne Gogol, while both were stationed in Boca Raton, FL.

After raising their family in Harwood Heights, IL, he and Anne moved to Altamonte Springs, FL in 1968 and started The Baker Press printing company in Orlando, FL, now owned and operated by his son, Charles G. Baker. He loved printing and had printer's ink in his veins.

Frank enjoyed many hobbies which included collecting antique sheet music, listening to records and tapes from the 1920's through 1960's, anything about Ben Franklin or Sherlock Holmes, old movies, electric train sets, painting, leather carving, reading, jigsaw puzzles, card games.



He was clever with words and math. He had a unique sense of humor.

In 2003 he wrote a book, Baker Avenue Society, about his family history.

Franklin is the father of Franklin (Anita) Baker, Charles (Beth) Baker and Deborah Baker (Kaoru) Yamamoto. He has five grandchildren: Charles, Patricia, and John (Kate) Baker, Anna and Katherine Yamamoto. He is the great grandfather of Joseph Baker.

Funeral services will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland Dec. 2nd at 2:00pm. His remains will be buried in the Baker family plot in Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
