Frank Joseph Troiani, Jr, 71, passed away on December 30, 2014. Frank was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 11, 1943 and grew up in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Frank attended Hatboro-Horsham High School, graduating in 1961 and marrying his High School
sweetheart Merrily Walter in June of 1967. The couple had three children - Stephanie, Candice and Samantha. Frank and his family moved from Pennsylvania to Casselberry, Florida in 1983.
Frank served as a Senior Master Sergeant Loadmaster on the C130 in the Air Force reserves since graduating High School until retiring in 1996 after 33 years of service. Frank was based at the Willow Grove Naval Air Station. He served in Operation Desert Storm in the Gulf War in 1990-1991 as part of the 1662nd TAS P. Frank loved serving his country and the camaraderie of his fellow servicemen. Frank also worked as a equipment specialist for the Navy until he retired in 2005.
Frank enjoyed golf, boating, painting and spending time with his grandchildren. Frank painted Wiley Coyote on one of the C130 airplanes and the door of the sleeping quarters during the gulf war. His sense of humour and positive outlook meant he was loved by everyone. If Frank was in the room you could always expect a quick witted comment to lift the atmosphere.
Frank is survived by his wife Merrily, his three daughters, Stephanie Narbeth, Candice Aycock, and Samantha Troiani, his 8 grandchildren, Lindsay and Timothy Narbeth, Mackenzie, Reese and Owen Aycock, and Ayden, Koan and Sebastian; as well as his beloved dog Beaner.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday January 4 at 2pm.
