Frank was born in Miami to Frank P. Roth and Sarah Anne Roth May 31,1933. At a young age his parents divorced and he and his mother went to Cochran, Ga. to reside which was home for her. They lived on her parents farm land. His uncle Johnny managed the farming, his mother managed Frank and business, and he managed mischief. Always in the fields or with the animals if not at the pond fishing. He loved fishing.
Frank was drafted to the Army for the Korean war and serve two years. Then headed to college at Georgia Tech for a four year degree in engineering. Graduated in 1955. He landed the dream job at NASA for 10 years during the Apollo Program, Saturn V. He helped build the first rocket that landed on the moon. At the age of 3-Gail, 5-Frank, and 8-Stu, remember sitting in front of the black and white TV to see Armstrong walk on the moon!
Frank was diagnosed with paranoia schizophrenia, and began treatments which caused divorce between him and Kay C. Roth, Lollis. Back to Cochran for many sick years. But God! Touched Frank in 1998 and began a journey to healing in health and relationships. Went from a tray of meds to 1 pill a day for mental health. To God be all the Glory!
Frank loved Florida… he just seemed to belong here. When his mother expired in 2000 he came to Orlando to live near his daughter and family. For 23 years he continued upward in health and relationships! Church was his favorite place to go. He loved God and God's kids, especially the band. Frank was a worshipper, like a kid, he bounced and clapped.
90 years old you lived to be! Enough time to make a permanent mark in the hearts of God and men….
