Frank McGovern was born April, 22 ,1925 in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia and passed away June, 5, 2018 Sanford Florida.
He grew up during the Great Depression where he enjoyed his childhood making the the best of things with very little. He enlisted in the Navy and served honorably in WW2 where he sailed the seven seas . Life changed the night he met my beautiful mother, Alice, the love of his life. Father was strong physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually or my mother would not have given him the time of day.
Together they had four children, raising them in Levittown until retirement and moving to Florida. Dad always had ideas and dreams and through his careful planning, he always made them come true. Dad was in the prime of his life much longer than most men, but eventually his body just wore out.
Dad was was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, and his daughter, Alice Lynch. Dad loved his children, Alice and Pat Mcgovern of Sanford , Florida, Frank Mcgovern of Yardley, Pa and Colleen Holland of Orlando, Florida.
He will also be missed by his daughter-in-law, Karen McGovern, and his son-in-law, Ron Holland.
He's now in the loving arms of our Lord
