Obituary

Frances Marie Pillow was born into new life on September 15th, 2018 and is now in the Loving arms of our Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Pillow. She is survived by her 3 children David (Patty) Pillow, Kathy Pillow, and Karen Pillow Severino (Frank). She was a wonderful loving grandmother to Vanessa, Frank, Michael and Joey as well as her great-granddaughters Hailie, Kyndra and Briannah.

Frances was born in Joliet, IL on May 18, 1928 to John and Kristina Svitek, where she was one of nine siblings, of which she was the last surviving. Our mother Frances was an amazing, faithful Catholic who cherished her faith and lived every day for The Lord being a beautiful witness to Christ. She was a servant Christian, always putting the needs of others before herself. She taught all of those around her what sacrificial love looked like, always showing kindness and compassion. It must be said that if anyone needed prayers, they went to our mother, confident that those prayers would be prayed, as she endlessly did so. Frances found peace and strength in praying her daily rosaries and her strong devotion to Our Blessed Mother Mary. She found the beauty in nature, always praising God for what He created…. As in her first and only flight, she looked out the window, praying her Rosary, just in awe of the clouds.

We would like to extend our deepest appreciation for all the many caretakers, nurses, chaplains and doctors from Vitas Hospice that cared for her, their support kindness and compassion was amazing and very helpful. We would also like to thank all of our extended families and friends who have given us love, support, and prayers as we have gone through this difficult time. We love you all.

In lieu of flowers, donations to: St Judes would be appreciated.(stjude.org) (Anytime my mom got a donation letter from St Judes, she would cut that photo out and pray for that child everyday) You can imagine, over the years, all the children she was praying for!
