Frances "Jean" Panico, 88, of Longwood, Florida, passed away December 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Jean, as everyone knew her, was born on January 30, 1935 in Bridgeport, CT to the late John and Margaret Strajk. In 1956, Jean married the love of her life, Tony Panico, and shared 67 wonderful married years together. Once they married, they moved to Bethany, CT to raise their family. In 2019, they moved south to Longwood, Florida where they currently reside.

Those still living to share her memory include her husband, Tony Panico; daughters, Karen Mercer (Larry) and Lori Avallone (Tom); grandchildren, Dana Strickland (Robert), Jeffrey Avallone (Giovanna), Bridget Avallone (Anthony); great grandchildren, Triston, Raegan, Robert, Kiley, and Amelia; and sister, Eleanor Skudlarek.

Jean is predeceased by her son, Tony Panico Jr ; grandson, Cason Yeager; sisters, Dorothy Dembinsky (Edward) and Irene Kulka (Adam); brother in-law Barney Skudlarek; and son in-law, Chris Yeager.

A visitation will be held from 9:30AM-10AM Wednesday December 20,2023 at Annunciation Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10AM. Following services Jean will be laid to rest at Queen of Angels Catholic Cemetery. The family invites you to join them following the graveside service for a reception that will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home 9001 N. Orlando Avenue Maitland, FL 32751.
