Frances "Lorraine" McBride Metallo, 88, of Winter Park, Florida, left for her heavenly home on May 22, 2021.

Lorraine was born on February 18, 1933 in Knottsville, KY, the daughter of William and Mary Catherine McBride. She was preceded in death by her siblings Gene McBride, Marie Mason, Tom McBride, Eunice Aldridge, and Pat McBride.

She is survived by her son, Bill (Emily) of Alpharetta, GA, and daughters Cindy Hall (Ronnie) of Casselberry, FL, Terry Grim (John) of Smyrna, GA, and Laurie Lewis of Castle Rock, CO; beloved grandchildren Justin Hall, Brent Hall (Stephanie), Angela Hall, Anna Lewis, Kara Lewis and Bella Metallo; great grandchildren Charlotte and Grace Hall; many family and friends, including Adele Becker and Gail Robinson.

Lorraine touched many lives with her kind and faith-filled spirit. She enjoyed reading and swimming, and she had an affinity for children and dogs. She had a career in food service, most notably with Marriott at Rollins College. She later enjoyed purposeful work in catering and at the daycare center at St. Margaret Mary church, and did so into her 80s.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church at 526 N. Park Ave. in Winter Park, FL on Friday, June 11 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Family Life Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to San Pedro Spiritual Development Center, which mom held near to her heart, or AdventHealth Hospice Care who helped care for her in her final months.
