Frances C. Gringer of Oviedo passed away on her birthday, Monday June 9, peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Born on June 9, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to George and Gertrude Fenton, she was defined by her Catholic faith and was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Winter Park. She dedicated her life to service, faith and family.
Frances was a devoted wife and loving mother of five children and proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren. Throughout her life she wore many hats including that of Mother, Grandmother, Registrar at Wymore High School and student at Seminole State College.
She was an active volunteer at her church and in the community where she was a Eucharistic Minister and helped minister to the sick, drove elderly patients to their doctors' appointments through the Neighborhood Network, distributed food to the poor and was a volunteer at Florida Hospital South.
Frances is survived by her husband, David; her daughters Christine (George), Theresa, Stephanie, Danielle and David (Danielle). She left behind a beloved group of grandchildren who were her pride and joy, including Austin, James, Elizabeth, Brandon, Caleb, Anthony, Luke, Nicholas, Lillian, Isabella, Leah, Sophia and her niece Juliette.
A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, June 18, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Winter Park with a reception immediately following (3:30 p.m.) at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, Florida.
