Exie Marie Kelley died peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the age of 87. She is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Richard Jewett Kelley. She is survived by her children, John (Debbie) of Winter Park, FL; Donna Babb (John) of Ocoee, FL; Richard Jr (Lisa) of Windermere, FL; Marianna Tusler (Cory) of Wellesley, MA; and Exie Palfrey (Phil) of Acworth, GA; along with 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Exie was born in Chelmsford, MA to John and Exie Dusseault. She graduated from Endicott College in 1955 and later married Richard Kelley in 1957. She was a devoted mother and wife who loved celebrating holidays and family traditions. Exie was an outgoing, faith filled woman, who loved studying history, working her daily crosswords, cooking and entertaining.
She was one of the original founding parishioners of Holy Family parish and more recently she volunteered at the Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine as a Eucharistic minister, lector, and docent. As a docent, she enjoyed providing information and sharing incite as to the history and development of the Shrine as well as its extensive art collection.
The funeral is scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, January 16, at Holy Family Catholic Church Daily Chapel. There will be a private, family gathering after the funeral.
