Evelyn, (Eve) Rupp was born to the late James G. Deuchar and Frances E. Deuchar on July 19, 1929 in Akron, Ohio. She passed away on March 27, 2021 in Winter Park, Florida.
Eve graduated in 1951 from Ohio State University with a degree in education and married Richard T. Rupp, on July 2, 1951. They had three children, Richard J. Rupp, Marjorie Ann Rupp and Mary Elizabeth Rupp. Mary Elizabeth died in December 2010. She also taught Elementary School in Lake Wales, Frostproof and Orlando.
December 13, 1974, she received a master's degree in Communication from the University of Central Florida, known then as Florida Technological University.
She worked for the Area Agency on Aging where she developed the first Elder Helpline that enabled persons to access all of the agencies that served the elderly.
On February 9, 2000 she was commissioned a Pastoral Minister for the Catholic Diocese of Orlando. Her main ministry was housing and serving the homeless.
She retired in 2017 when her husband, Deacon Richard T. Rupp, dies after 56 years of marriage.
