Obituary

Evelyn Frances Fuller Crimmings, 93, Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025 with family at her bedside.

Born on October 24, 1931 and raised in Orlando, Evelyn was the daughter of Floyd Taylor Fuller and Jannie Irene Melton Fuller. She was next to the youngest of five children. Evelyn attended Orlando High School and ultimately met the love of her life, George Robert Crimmings, who was in the Armed Forces and settled in Orlando where he established his own utilities contracting business. They were married for 72 loving years and lived in their College Park home for nearly 70 happy years.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Taylor Fuller and Jannie Irene Melton Fuller, her husband, George Crimmings, her son, George Robert Crimmings, Jr., her sister, Emma "Sissy" Rauch, her three brothers, James "Bubba" Fuller, Henry Fuller and Emmett Fuller. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Crimmings Moorhead (Brian, preceded in death) and her son, Craig (Virginia) Crimmings. Evelyn is also survived by two granddaughters and four great grandsons, nieces, nephews, cousins as well as many friends. We would like to thank the at-home caregivers for their devotion and assistance in the care of Evelyn.

As a life-long resident in the College Park neighborhood of Orlando, she witnessed and experienced first hand all the major growth and changes in the area over the years. Evelyn was a strong and elegant Southern Lady full of kindness, wit, intellect, convictions and strong faith. Evelyn was a devoted wife and loving mother who relished being an amazing Homemaker. More than anything she loved her family and they all loved her. She was the ultimate supporter of her children in all of their activities and was always offering help and encouragement to all who needed a bit of love, comfort, inspiration and support. She loved gardening, had a knack for decorating, was an excellent cook and always fashionable. Evelyn always had open arms for a big hug, a sweet smile of welcome, a warm heart and pleasant demeanor as well as the pure joy of her laughter…always putting her family and others first. Evelyn was deeply loved and was truly blessed with a rich long life…a true testament to a life well lived. She will be sorely missed.
