Obituary

Evelyn "Polly" Anderson, 68, passed away on March 15, 2023. She was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia on April 9, 1954 to Talmadge and Grace Osborne.

While living in Northern Virginia, Evelyn met and married the love of her life Robert Anderson on April 12, 1975. She spent more than 30 years working as a Teller at Bank of America before moving with her husband to Longwood, Florida. There, she worked in the Bakery Department at the Publix Grocery Store in Lake Mary, Florida. Evelyn was loved by her coworkers and customers, who all came to depend on her for a warm smile, baked goods, and free cookies for the children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Talmadge & Grace Osborne, brothers, James (Jimbo) Asburn, Carl Osborne, and Charles Osborne, and sisters, Redina (Dino) Carroll and LaDonna (Kay) Lambert. Survivors include her loving husband of almost 48 years Robert Anderson; her son Stuart Anderson, daughter Amy Herskovitz and husband Michael, stepdaughter Kimberlee Jackson, stepson Robert Anderson and wife Gracie; grandchildren, Shaun Anderson, Chelsea Holzhauer, Dylan Anderson, Garrett Jackson, Braden Anderson, and Trevor Herskovitz; her brother Doug Osborne and wife Linda; half sisters Patty Wild and Becky Hanson; sister-in-law Judi Runkle and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; lifelong friends Brenda and Pete Wildprett, Sandy Meade, Mary Gray, and countless other close friends.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 1:00pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, Florida.

Evelyn was a big supporter in the fight to cure ALS. If you would like to give something in her honor we know she would've been very touched if it was directed towards this cause.
