Eunice Inez "Cookie" Cook, 101, of Orlando, FL passed away on September 18,2023. Inez was born in Thonotosassa, FL on July 24, 1922, to Crawford and Hazel Keene. Inez is survived by her sister, Esther Carlisle, her daughter, Peggy Nash, her son, Glen Cook, Grandchildren Adrienne & Ray Beaudoin, Steven, Austin & Taylor Nash, Christopher & Kayla, Dillon, Coby Cook. And 3 great-grandchildren Addisyn, Remy and Sophia.
Inez was a 4th generation Floridian growing up during the depression, training to be a registered nurse in the middle of WWII at Mound Park Hospital St. Petersburg. She worked in Washington DC caring for secret service agents wounded defending President Truman. "Cookie" as she was known in Orlando did private duty first in the early 1960's caring for Mrs. (Dr) Phillip, then she worked at West Orange Memorial Hospital as a Recovery Room Nurse. And finally, at Florida Manor Nursing Home. Cookie was a longtime member of the Church on the Drive.
A celebration of life will be held on November 11th at 2:30 at the Church on the Drive 1914 Edgewater Dr Orlando, FL 32804. The Interment will be held at a later date in Plant City, Florida.
