Eugenia Gertrude Carpenter Rogers

Eugenia Gertrude Carpenter Rogers, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Eugenia was raised in the Catholic faith, which remained an important and guiding part of her life. Her faith brought her strength throughout the years and great comfort as she entered her final days.

On July 15, 1956, Eugenia married the love of her life, Donald Francis Rogers. This past July marked what would have been their 70th wedding anniversary. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around faith and family. Donald preceded her in death five and a half years ago, after nearly 65 years of marriage.

Eugenia eventually made Florida her home, but wherever she lived, home was truly wherever her family was. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by the people she loved. She treasured family dinners, holidays and simply having everyone gathered together around the table.

Her seven grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart. She adored them beyond measure, would have done absolutely anything for them, and they brought an incredible amount of love and joy to her life. Being their grandmother was one of her greatest blessings. That love only grew as she welcomed nine great-grandchildren into the family she treasured so deeply.

Eugenia also loved to garden and took great pleasure in making things beautiful, but nothing brought her greater happiness than her family.

Eugenia was the beloved mother of three daughters, Donna Best Greenspan, Laura Napoleon and Linda Sprinkle Anderson, and the proud and devoted grandmother of Brooke Elisabeth Hieb, Cole Rogers Napoleon, David Rogers Stuart, Parke Richard Napoleon, Steele Daniel Napoleon, Christian Daniel Best and Eugenia Elizabeth Sprinkle.

She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Walker William, Ford William, Beck Edward, Lyla Parke, Penelope “Poppi” Ann, Cross Kammer, Asher Dee, Clarke Frances and Hutch Daniel. They brought even more love and joy into her life and were a beautiful continuation of the family legacy that meant everything to her.

Eugenia will be remembered for her strong Catholic faith, her devotion to her family, her love of gardening and family dinners, and the many traditions and memories she created throughout her life. Her family will miss her more than words can express, while finding peace and joy in knowing she is reunited with Donald and home with her Lord and Savior.

Her life was one of faith, family and love, and that love will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

A funeral service celebrating Eugenia’s beautiful life will be held Thursday, September 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, Florida. ❤ 🙏
