Esther Maria Benitez, daughter of Agustin J. Benitez and Sofia Benitez was born in Madrid, Spain on the evening of April 3rd, 1964. She passed quietly on May 2, 2021 leaving behind sisters Sofia (Tomas) Arana and Maria Benitez as well as brothers Gus (Kathy) Benitez, Jose (Beth) Benitez and Jorge Benitez. In addition, she is also survived by her nieces Aly Benitez, Elena Benitez, Tamara Shane, Carolina Arana and her nephews Joey Benitez, Daniel Benitez, Carlos Arana and Tomy Arana.

Esther can be best described as a loving angel from Heaven sent to us to make our lives more meaningful and loving. She was funny, smart and a little bit of a show off! She loved to make people laugh and had the uncanny ability to sense when people where sad and needed lifting. She was quick with a smile and a loving look. She was a very special person.

Having Downs Syndrome simply made her even more special and she never let that stop her from doing the things she loved: dancing and bowling. She was great at both!

Esther had the good fortune of having a large family who cared for her and loved her without reservation. Throughout her life she made quick friends wherever she went and was well known for her joking manner and positive outlook.

She will be greatly missed but we take comfort that she is now in the embrace of her loving parents and in the hands of our Lord…safe and at Peace.
