Esteve G. Morales

Esteve “Steve” G. Morales passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on January 26, 1936, he lived a long life marked by dedication, strength, and devotion to those he loved. 

A proud veteran with 23 years of service, Steve retired after achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. His storied career included tours in both Korea and Vietnam. During one of his three tours in Vietnam, his plane was shot down. After retirement, he went on to instruct members of the Royal Saudi Air Force. His military service reflected a life of commitment, discipline and honor and it stands as an enduring part of the legacy he leaves behind.

Above all, Steve will be remembered within the circle of his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Morales, and his children: Jim Smisek and his wife, Lynette; Tim Smisek and his wife, Heather; Kimberly Lefkove and her husband, Peter; and Misty Bozette. Additionally, he was beloved by his six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In their love, memories, and the bonds they shared with him, his presence will continue to be deeply felt and warmly cherished.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service on September 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Hwy 1, Mims, FL 32754.
