Emily (Saccardi) McPherson died peacefully Sunday May 10, 2026 in Altamonte Springs, Florida at Advent Hospice. Emily was 84 years old.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Daniel McPherson, Sanford, Florida; brother Perry Saccardi; son Jeffery McPherson, Altamonte Springs; son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Nancy McPherson, Newnan, Georgia; granddaughter Kayla Wieland and husband Gerald; grandchildren Caroline and Nolan McPherson; and three great grandchildren, Bentley, Sawyer & amp; Carter Wieland.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Reno Saccardi and Stephanie Musco Saccardi; her brother Vincent; and her sisters Donna, Judy and Delores
.
Emily was born on May 20, 1941 in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Arnold High School in 1959. Dan graduated from East Deer-Frazer High School in 1960.

Dan and Emily met in 1959 and were married July 15, 1961 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Creighton, Pennsylvania. They traveled extensively throughout their marriage, visiting 30 states and 30 countries. Emily met many wonderful friends over her career at Carpenters Home Estates in Lakeland, Florida; Griffin Federal Savings & amp; Loan in Griffin, Georgia; Watson Clinic in Lakeland, Florida; and ended her career at Bunkers International in Lake Mary, Florida.

Emily was incredibly kind and faithful. She was an active member of St Rita's Circle at her home church, Annunciation Catholic Church. She loved time in her garden and making her family's favorite meals. As a "boy mom", Emily enjoyed hours of games and her favorite sports.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday June 6, 2026 at 10:00am at Annunciation Catholic Church, with a reception to follow for family and friends. Presiding at the mass will be Father Steven Bauman. All are welcome to attend and join us in celebration of Emily.
