Emily Lou (Bushert) Fues passed away peacefully Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Lake Mary, Florida at the age of 89.

Emily was born in Decatur, IL to Lloyd and Dorothy (Weaver) Bushert on February 26th, 1926. She graduated high school in Rock Island, IL. She married Harold Theodore Fues from Rock Island, IL in 1945 and spent the next 49 years together until his passing in 1997. Her early married life she spent as a dedicated housewife raising their five children; Hal, Gloria, Jayne, Kathy and Jay. After moving to Florida in 1972, she worked several years as a receptionist/bookkeeper for Shenandoah Village in Sanford, FL. She continued her bookkeeping career as they started a family company known as H.T. Fues and Associates which they ran successfully together until 1997.

Emily embraced family and friends as one of her passions in life. She enjoyed traveling and spent quality time with those she visited along the way. She loved to sew and crochet and gifted many of her laborious hours to family members for special occasions. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Emily is survived by her children; Harold L. & (Denise) Fues, Gloria Dixon, Jayne M. & (Charlie) Vance, Kathy A. & (Randy) Drone, Jay M. & (Megan) Fues. 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren, and 3 Step-Great Grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Kannaley, Galesburg, IL, Evelyn Hoover, Milan, IL; brothers, Forrest Bushert, El Paso, IL, Merlin Bushert, St. Joseph, MI. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold (Fuzz), and a sister, Eunice Sellers.

A private family and close friends memorial service will be held to celebrate Emily's life on June 4th, 2015 @3:00, Location: 150 Middle St
Lake Mary, FL.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Brookdale Senior Living – Alzheimer Unit.
