Ellen Marie Brown, age 84 of High Springs, passed away on December 13, 2017, at Haven Hospice's ET York Care Center in Gainesville, Florida.

Funeral services will be held on December 18, 2017 at 1 PM at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Sanford Florida. Burial will follow at Geneva Cemetery in Geneva, Florida. Arrangements are by DeGusipe Funeral Home.

Ellen was born in Union City, Michigan to Charles and Glee Knapp on March 13, 1933. She attended Union City High School. She married George Benjamin Brown in 1952 in Angola, Indiana. She worked as a secretary for various companies doing clerical and administrative work throughout her working career. She was actively involved in the Central Florida Country Music Association for many years.

Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, George Benjamin Brown, her brother Clinton Markham and her sister Francis Knapp.

Ellen is survived by three brothers, Duane, Rolland, and Leslie Knapp, her three sons, Glenn, Steven and Keith Brown and her eight grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Audia, Michelle (Matthew) Miller, Shelly (Jim) Tunget, Erin Simons-Brown, Benjamin (Brooke) Brown, Hannah (Evan) Brown, Steven (Kazuko) Brown, Jessica (Geoff) Deshazer and 15 great-grandchildren.
