Mrs. Elizabeth Catherine Frey, (nee Natalie), age 95 of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Elizabeth, known as Bette, was predeceased by her husband Walter J. Frey, her parents Dominick and Santa Natalie, and her loving brother Kenneth Natalie.

Bette graduated from Cliffside Park High School, New Jersey and attended college. As a young woman, Bette worked for Caltex Petroleum in NYC where she met and married the love of her life, Walter John Frey. Bette and Walter were married for 40 years, originally settling in Maywood, NJ until moving to Township of Washington (Bergen County) NJ in 1961. There they lived and raised 3 children: Denise, Douglas and Matthew. After Walter's death in 1990, she moved to live with her daughter in Warwick, NY until 2004, when she moved to Orlando, FL.

Bette was a caring mother and devoted wife who took pride in preparing homemade meals for her family every day. She was a phenomenal cook who specialized in signature dishes from every corner of the world…. she clearly was ahead of her time. In addition to cooking, her passions included painting, gardening and bird watching.

Bette is survived by her three children, Denise Vontobel, (husband) Craig Vontobel, Douglas Frey, (wife) Debbie Frey and Matthew Frey, (wife) Ann Marie, 4 granddaughters, Jennifer Frey, Sloane Vontobel, Noel Frey and Caroline Frey, 1 great grandson, Eros Vontobel, sister-in-law, Sherri Natalie and many nieces and nephews.

A beloved friend to many, Bette "Mom" will be missed by those whose lives she touched. Private services will be held later this year.
