Our beloved mother, Elizabeth (Betty) E. Greear, may she rest in peace in the house of our Lord, our Saviour Jesus Christ, with her family that has already crossed over: mother, father, four brothers, and grandparents; her son-in-law Randy L. Lanxton, and her late beloved faithful loving grandson Matthew A. Crews. The joy you see in her eyes comes from the Lord, as her life was dedicated to the love of her family and her earthly works for the Lord.
Mother had a beautiful and radiant personality. She enjoyed playing the piano and sang alto in the central Florida Bach Choir in unison with the Florida Symphony for 20 years and Episcopalian church choirs for about 30+. After raising her children, mother spent her career working as a Utility Biller/Customer Service Representative for BellSouth and Florida Power Corporation (now Duke Energy). She graduated with honors from Lake Forest College in Illinois. She had a beautiful kind-hearted loving soul, that was loved by all she met. She was an excellent teacher and mentor as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sooooo dearly missed by all. No one can ever replace a Mother, but we unwaiver from our faith to know that God always comforts a grieving heart and has delivered her to a better place. Momma/Mommy, thank you for all the wonderful years and commitment/dedication to your children, raising us with morals, values, love, and spiritual awakening and commitment. We, your children, Gloria A. Richards, James G. Greear, and Denise G. Lanxton, will love you for eternity and cherish all the wonderful memories. May God continue to bless your soul and we will all meet again!
The family has indicated that only a graveside service will be held at the cremation niche at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, FL. Services will be performed by Pastor Jeff Taylor with "Church in the Son".
