Elizabeth "Betty" Ciccolella, 81, of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully with family by her
side, on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 10:40 pm. She was born in Manhattan, NY on September 27,
1941, to the late Hilda Horan and John Lyons.
Betty loved to travel between New Jersey and Florida visiting family and friends. She was an
excellent cook. Her lasagna and meatballs were legendary, and she would never show up on
Christmas without those cookies. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, arts and crafts, and playing
dominoes and card games with her family and friends. She was always there when you needed
her; helping out with numerous family businesses, and she always wanted to keep the family
traditions going.
Elizabeth is survived by her 3 brothers; Joseph (Monica) Lyons, Michael Lyons, and Dennis
(Tina) Lyons, her sister; Linda Cecchini, her brother in-law Joseph Rozzelle, her 4 remaining
children; Carol Lynch, Patricia Walker, Cheryl Verdino, and Gerard Ciccolella, her 10
grandchildren; Tommy, Timmy, Jimmy, Justin, Corrie, Hunter, Steven, Nick, Giovanni, Dante;
and her twin great grandsons; Tommy and Ryan. She was preceded in death by 2 of her brothers;
James "Jimmy" Lyons, and John Lyons, 2 of her sisters; Carol Rozzelle, and Lillian Yanko, 2 of
her sons; James "Jimmy" Basciano, and Johnny Basciano and her brother-in-law, Michael
Cecchini. She will be missed dearly and never forgotten.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
