Elio V. Alvarez, Jr. "Machi", aged 76 passed away October 1st 2025.
Predeceased by father Elio V. Alvarez, Sr., mother Isabel Swain Alvarez & brother Herbert Quesada. Survived by brother Danny & wife Margi Alvarez, many cousins & nieces & nephews. Born May 30, 1949 in West Tampa, attending local schools & graduated from Jefferson High. Retired from the Postal Service as a clerk after 30 years of service. He loved music, the mystery of planes & vintage autos from the 50's & 60's. He especially loved San Francisco & enjoyed the great city of New York.
As young kids he & I went by train to New York with our grandfather Victor "Vitico" & stayed with our cousin Aida in Brooklyn. We are grateful for all the love & help from his friends Isaac, Wendy, Debbie & Diane. Their visits to his assisted living facility were special times that included pizza, cuban sandwiches & lemon bars.
You cannot put a price on their unselfish love & devotion. A special thanks to Best Care Assisted Living Facility, Brandon Hospital, & Suncoast Hospice of St. Joseph for their kind & caring assistance.
