Eleanor "Ellie" D. Valvassori of Winter Park, Florida, and formerly of Wilmette, Illinois, passed away on December 26, 2021 at the age of 89. Eleanor's husband of 43 years, Dr. Galdino E. Valvassori, preceded her in death on February 13, 2018.

Eleanor leaves behind seven children: Dr. Catherine (Ajmal), Paul, and Steven Monti, Danielle (Jake), Alex (Maureen), Laura (Garth), and Dr. Pia (Sean) Valvassori. She also leaves behind her nine beloved grandchildren: Alex, Carly, Tony, Chris, Lauren, Danielle, Colin, Marco, and Sandrina.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church, 526 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park, Florida on January 21, 2022 at 11:00 am. The Mass will be livestreamed and can be accessed at the following link. A memorial Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Church, Winnetka, Illinois, later this year.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Health Care Center for the Homeless to continue Ellie's love for the field of medicine and her commitment to addressing health disparities in the community.
