Elaine Ida Rodlun's Obituary
Elaine Ida Rodlun of Lake Mary, FL passed away peacefully Monday morning on March 30, 2020 at the age of?nearly 91 and a half. Elaine is survived by her children Carol Rodlun, Barry Rodlun, Nancy Rodlun, Jay Rodlun, and Phyllis Berry.
She is preceded in death by?her loving husband Ralph Edward Rodlun, originally of Gresham, OR and her brother Bryce Linton Elmer, originally of Bordentown, NJ.
Elaine was born on?October 31, 1928 in?Bordentown, NJ to?Albert J. and Eve Z. Elmer. She attended nursing training?in?Trenton, NJ, graduating in 1950?as a Register Nurse (RN). She married?Ralph Edward Rodlun of the U.S. Navy on March 10, 1951. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, working part-time as a RN.
Immediate family attended a graveside service Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the historic Lake Mary Cemetery. Pastor Alan Youngblood?officiated the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elaine I. Rodlun can be made to the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Sanford, FL. Elaine loved wildlife documentaries and zoos. Her and her family visited many U.S. zoos when traveling across the country to Naval Air Stations where her husband, Ralph, was assigned duty.
