Edward Jeffrey Haddick, 51, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at Bayfront Medical Center. He was born January 8, 1963, in Elizabeth, NJ, and moved to Florida in 1975 where he graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in 1981. For over twenty-five years Ed played recreational softball, and he even re-met his softball-playing wife Juley Roman out on the fields. They were married July 15, 1989, and have two children - Roman (19) and Reese (17). Ed also served in the Army National Guard from 1985 - 1993 and was employed as warehouse manager for N. Glantz & Son Sign Supplies in Clearwater for the last six years. Besides softball Ed enjoyed golfing, playing corn hole, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife and two children, Ed is survived by his mother Marlene Haddick of Seminole; his older sisters Carole (John) Silverstein of St. Petersburg and Debbie (Jim) Zierden of Seminole; his younger brother Robert (Danielle) Haddick of St. Petersburg; his two step-sisters MaryAnn and Leslie of NJ; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their children. He was predeceased by his father Jacob Haddick.
A BBQ & Celebration of Ed's Life will be held from 2:00 until park closes on Saturday, April 26, at Boca Ciega Millenium Park, 12410 - 74th Avenue, Seminole, 33772. All are invited; follow the signs once you reach the shelter area. Please RSVP to [email protected] so we will have an idea of numbers for the caterer.
